President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive in the city on December 22 for his southern sojourn and stay at the Rashtrapati Nilayam for 10 days.
This will be his first stay at the sprawling mansion after assuming charge as President. According to the tentative schedule received from the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Kovind will stay along with his family at R P Nilayam till December 31. The
Telangana government is making grand plans for the President who will spend 10 days in the city. Sources said his stay at R P Nilayam from December 22 to 26 and again from December 30-31. In between, he will tour Andhra Pradesh and other areas.
Every President of the country has stayed for a fortnight and undertaken official tours from the city of pearls.
