The ‘Palamuru Prajabheri’ which Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi was set to attend on July 30 in Kollapur has been postponed in view of the heavy rains. The AICC will pick the next date of the meeting, said TPCC senior vice-president Mallu Ravi.
Speaking in Kollapur, former minister Jupally Krishna Rao whose formal entry into the party was set to be announced in the July 30 meeting, said, "The observers who came from Delhi visited
the proposed meeting area and felt the weather was not conducive for holding the meeting. They informed us that the meeting has to be postponed."
Priyanka Gandhi was scheduled to issue the party’s Mahila Declaration. "I appeal to the Congress cadre to make the meeting a success when it is held," Ravi said. This is the second postponement of Priyanka Gandhi’s meeting.
