Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi will campaign in Telangana on Tuesday and Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, ahead of the commencement of filing of nominations from November 3. They will cover undivided Mahbubnagar district for a day each.
Priyanka Gandhi will arrive in the Devarakadra Assembly constituency at 3 pm on Tuesday and launch the election campaign. She will take part in a women's convention in which she will highlight the 'Six Guarantees'. She will lay special focus on how women will benefit with the Six Guarantees.
She will later proceed to Kollapur where she will address a public meeting titled 'Palamuru Prajabheri'.
On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting each at Kalwakurthy and Nagarkurnool starting 3 pm. Later, he will hold street corner meeting in
Jadcherla at 4 pm. Rahul Gandhi will undertake padayatra from Shadnagar railway station to Shadnagar crossroads at 5 pm and later address a public meeting there.
This is the second visit of the Gandhis to Telangana after the Election Commission notified Assembly polls on October 9. They had flagged off the Congress bus yatra in Mulugu on October 18. Rahul Gandhi had continued the yatra for second day on October 19 and covered a few Assembly constituencies in Mulugu, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Jagtial and Nizamabad districts.
Karnataka PCC chief and Deputy Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar campaigned in Tandur, Parigi and Chevella constituencies on October 28 while AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge campaigned in Sangareddy and Medak constituencies.
