Prophet Remarks Row: Suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh gets conditional bail

Suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh has been granted conditional bail in the case against him for making inflammatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad. The Telangana High Court also quashed the charges under the Preventive Detention Act against T Raja Singh, his counsel Karuna Sagar said.

T Raja Singh was arrested



in August for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Prophet Muhammad. An FIR was lodged against him after massive protests erupted at several locations in Hyderabad, demanding action against him.

Soon after his remarks sparked a row, T Raja Singh was also suspended by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
