Opposing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024, which created uproar in the Parliament, the former MLC and Telangana Waqf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem on Wednesday demanded the BJP-led NDA government to provide judicial powers to District Collectors, Police and revenue officers to protect Waqf lands and its properties across the



country.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Saleem said that the BJP led NDA government is trying to pass the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024.

There were a number of objections and the need to pass the Bill in Parliament and Rajya Sabha after conducting a thorough debate on the Bill.
