The repair works being taken up on PVNR expressway from Shamshabad to Mehdipatnam are to be completed by June 21.
The Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration, Arvind Kumar inspected the repair works taken on the expressway on Wednesday and instructed officials to expedite the repair works so as to allow vehicular traffic from June 21. As part of regular maintenance work, the one-way stretch from Shamshabad to Mehdipatnam has been closed for vehicular traffic from the April 22.
During inspection on Wednesday, Kumar said that the repair works on the other stretch from
Mehdipatnam to Shamshabad would be taken up after the monsoon. This decision was taken given the fact that it would take a minimum of 45 days for the repair works to be completed.
Kumar enquired with the officials about the functioning of the cold milling machine and asked them to attend the potholes simultaneously. Apart from taking up painting works on the footpaths, he instructed officials to commence work of under-deck street lighting.
Chief Engineer BLN Reddy, Director Urban Forestry, Srinivas and others were present.
