QR codes on Telangana inter hall tickets to guide students to centres

Students appearing for the Intermediate Public Examinations, commencing March 5, need not worry about directions or getting lost while finding their centres.

All that students need to do is scan the Quick Response (QR) code printed on the hall tickets with a smartphone. Once scanned, students can view a clear route map to their exam centre. In addition, they can ascertain how far is their centre and even the estimated time it will take to reach the venue, considering traffic.

As students find it stressful to navigate to the centres particularly on the first day of the exam, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education



(TG BIE) is integrating QR codes, which come embedded with the location of the exam centres, to the hall tickets.

Several corporate colleges, especially the ones in the city, have the same names, but with different college codes, and this often causes confusion among students. Now, these QR codes will come in handy for students to locate centres with ease.

Earlier, the Board had launched an exam centre locator application to help students find their exam venues. The Board also decided to print the entire address of the centres on the hall tickets. Earlier, there had been a word limit of 13 to print the address on admit cards.
