Rachakonda Police conduct cordon and search in Meerpet

The Rachakonda Police conducted a cordon and search operation at Lenin Nagar in Meerpet and surrounding areas and detained nine persons on Wednesday.

Nearly 300 police personnel under the supervision of L B Nagar DCP Sunpreeth Singh searched around 400 houses under the Meerpet police station limits. During the search, 78 two-wheelers, two cars and six auto-rickshaws



without valid documents were seized for verification. 

The police also detained eight persons including four suspects and four rowdy sheeters and checked their antecedents. They were warned of strict action if they indulged in criminal activities. Two illegal liquor shops were also raided and 60 liquor bottles were seized.
