Rachakonda Police launches free ambulance service

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat flagged off a free ambulance service here on Monday. The service was launched for the benefit of the poor and arranged by PURE (People for Urban and Rural Education), an NGO in collaboration with a youth group ‘Abhisti’.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhagwat appreciated the initiative by PURE being coordinated by Shyla Talluri from the USA and stated that the



free ambulance service would be parked at the Area Hospital Vanasthalipuram at BN Reddy Nagar.

He said the service would be extended up to 50 kilometres radius from the hospital for carrying patients to hospitals as well as for a last ride service.
