The Rachakonda Police on Tuesday welcomed 45 Covid-19 warriors who recently recovered from the virus and joined back for duty.
The Covid warriors including T Kiran Kumar, Inspector (Nacharam), R Saidulu, Detective Inspector (Chaitanyapuri), G Sandhya, SI (Chaitanyapuri), L Ravikumar SI (Saroornagar), Danunjaya, SI (Ghatkesar) and others were welcomed by the police band amidst applause from senior officers.
Each one of them shared their experiences specially elucidating the process of recovery through coping with the stress, the confidence built by team of doctors, their colleagues at office and superiors. All of them expressed gratitude to Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat for calling each of them personally and
instilling confidence.
They said their families were also happy for the gesture of Rachakonda Police by providing financial help while they were undergoing treatment. All of them stressed the importance of building immunity through proper diet, medicines, home remedies like steam, warm water gargling and being mentally strong. They were later felicitated by the senior officials.
Bhagwat, addressing the gathering, said all the officers were mentally strong and wrote their own destiny with the support of their families and strong will power. “We should not feel guilty after being infected by the virus. Happiness is the best medicine to boost immunity,” Bhagwat said.
