Former MP and TDP politburo member Ramesh Rathod is going to join the TRS along with his followers in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at TRS Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday. His resignation dealt a severe blow to the TDP.
He declared that he is joining the TRS attracted by the development programmes being implemented by the party chief and Chief Minister. His followers Adilabad district TDP president Younis Akbani and Asifabad district TDP president Kalam are also joining the TRS.
He clarified that he is joining the ruling party not for any post or position but because of the government’s welfare schemes like loan waiver to farmers upto Rs one lakh, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha and others, which are
beneficial to the people.
He denied having differences with anyone in Adilabad and Asifabad districts. He stated of having the support of about 90 per cent of the cadre. He said that he would take out a huge rally comprising a convoy of 1,200 vehicles to Hyderabad.
Denying differences with anyone in the TRS, he said that he will work with everyone, including Khanapur MLA Rekha Shyam, ministers Indrakaran Reddy and Jogu Ramanna.
“I am joining the TRS unconditionally and not seeking any position or party nomination. There was no opposition to my crossing over into the TRS from any quarter. I will lend every bit of my support to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to achieve Bangaru Telangana,” he said.
