Ration dealers to go on strike

Mon 09 Jan 2017, 11:49:09
Public Distribution System (PDS) dealers across the State have decided to go on a day-long agitation on Tuesday at Indira Park.
The ration dealers are demanding that the government respond to various issues, including considering them as regular employees or paying monthly honorarium of Rs 20,000 – Rs 30,000 apart from issuing health cards and

double-bedroom houses.
“We represented this to Finance Minister Etela Rajender and Civil Supplies Commissioner several times but to no avail. After implementing e-POS system, the department had not been paying commission since nine months to the dealers of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts,” Ration Dealers Welfare Society president B Ramesh Babu said.
