The annual city marathon ‘Airtel Hyderabad Marathon’, which attracts amateur and professional runners from across the country is all set to be held on August 24 and 25. Registrations for the popular running event are open for all the four categories of 5K, 10K, Half Marathon (21K) and Marathon (42K).
The running event organised by Hyderabad Runners since 2011, is essentially aimed at creating active lifestyles and raise awareness on health through running. With popularity and demand to take part in the Hyderabad Marathon increasing every year, the event organisers have urged amateur and professional runners to take-up registration at the earliest before the slots are
filled-up.
To manage the enthusiastic crowd and provide better support to runners, the Hyderabad Runners will organize 5K run on August 24 while the remaining marquee runs including 10K, 21K and 42K will be held on August 25. The Half Marathon and Marathon running events will start from Necklace Road, People’s Plaza and snake its way through the core areas of the city including Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and the IT corridor before terminating at Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Gachibowli.
