The 25 students and two professors of University of Hyderabad, who were released from Cherlapally Central Prison on Tuesday night, threatened to intensify the protests demanding arrest of persons who are responsible for death of research scholar Rohith Vemula.
A local court on Monday had sanctioned bail
to the students and the two professors, who were arrested by the Cyberabad police for vandalising the UoH Vice-Chancellor’s chamber and attacking police on March 22. Several students of UoH, members of various students’ organisations and other had waited for the release of the students and professors.
