The Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar issued orders restricting the movement of heavy loaded vehicles during the peak hours in the commissionerate.

These restrictions will come into effect from August 1 from 6 am to 10 pm.

According to Cyberabad Police, a large number of complaints were received through various channels of media in the recent days regarding the dangerous movement of certain heavy vehicles like trucks carrying rock boulders, debris and other construction related waste material on the busy roads in the city.

“Many road accidents have taken place in recent times due to the negligent driving by the drivers of these loaded

vehicles which mostly carry waste. Apart from this, the boulders being carried fall on the roads.

At times, these vehicles also topple over, causing serious threat to the motorists and endangering human lives,” Sajjanar said.

Further, these vehicles were moving dangerously amidst the highly congested roads in the IT corridor and residential areas causing many road safety issues besides leading to congestion on roads. Many a times, these vehicles break down on high vehicular density roads resulting in unmanageable traffic congestion as the towing and recovery of these vehicles amidst the high volume traffic becomes highly difficult.
