Giving assurance to the unemployed that the Congress would release a job calendar on January 1, 2024, if it came to power, TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao for failing to conduct TSPSC Group-I preliminary exam.
Participating in a round-table meeting on the TSPSC’s failure, Reddy said that the BRS government was more keen on purchasing dissidents than on conducting the Group-I exam.
"The Chief Minister utilised the Kaleshwaram project as an ATM while his daughter K. Kavitha used Singareni Collieries as an ATM and Rama Rao did so by appointing unqualified candidates as TSPSC board members," Reddy alleged.
When the Congress was fighting against irregularities in the
TSPSC, Rama Rao had sent a defamation case notice for `100 crore. He wanted to know why the government had not taken action against the CM Peshi staff for their role in the scam.
"The appointment of TSPSC board members is illegal and the government filled it up with ineligible people. He alleged that the state government had converted the TSPSC into a political rehabilitation centre. Those who could not be given positions in politics were being accommodated there.
"This situation would not have prevailed if the board had been revamped in time, he said. "Was it not the duty of the Chief Minister to dissolve the TSPSC board immediately after the scam was exposed? Why has he not reviewed the developments?" Reddy asked.
