Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy presented the United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala as a role model for the I.N.D.I.A bloc. Reddy commended the people of Kerala for protecting their culture and traditions and preventing communal forces from gaining a foothold in the state. Revanth Reddy launched a book ‘Sneha Sadass (The Message of Love),’ written by Syed Sadiqali Shihab Thangal, president of the Indian Union Muslim League’s (IUML) Kerala state committee. The IUML is a key ally of the UDF in Kerala.
During the event, Reddy shared that he had invited Rahul Gandhi to contest from Telangana, to which the AICC leader replied that he would contest from Kerala as he considered the people of the state his family. "The IUML is a trustworthy organisation with a long-standing association with the Congress, spanning 48 years in Kerala. It has the strength to combat communal forces with the support of the UDF-led Congress," Reddy said.
He pointed out that despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah trying to influence the state with religious issues, the IUML and its allies in Kerala would resist such communal intrusions.
"As a member of the Congress, the TPCC chief of Telangana, and Chief Minister, I want to learn from Kerala how to combat communal forces. The UDF and its allies have been at the forefront of protecting our culture, traditions, and future generations," Revanth Reddy added. He stressed that the Prime Minister Minister's role is to protect national interests, but current politics based on communal lines pose a significant threat to the nation.
While campaigning for I.N.D.I.A bloc candidates during the Lok Sabha elections, the Chief Minister had visited several locations and engaged with young people. "I interacted with youngsters who are keen to protect our society from communal forces and their illegal activities," the Chief Minister said. Reddy also called for a united effort to defeat the NDA-led BJP at the Centre.
He urged the southern states to send over 100 MPs from I.N.D.I.A bloc parties to Parliament. "If the I.N.D.I.A bloc comes to power at the Centre, it will help prevent the BJP's initiatives to scrap reservations for Muslims, BCs, SCs, and STs in the country," he concluded.
