Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who visited Delhi on Tuesday, met AICC leader Sonia Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge.
After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Revanth Reddy proceeded to Sonia Gandhi's residence.
Later, he left for Kharge's residence. Bhatti joined the meeting at Kharge's residence.
Party sources said that Revanth Reddy discussed the party's preparedness in Telangana state for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in his meetings with Mrs Gandhi and
Kharge.
He reportedly discussed appointing Congress leaders for nominated posts in state government-run corporations. The issue of nominating MLCs under the Governor's quota and MLA's quota also came up for discussion.
Party sources added that there was no discussion on Cabinet expansion. There are six more vacancies in Revanth Reddy's cabinet. It is learned that the Congress high command had asked him to wait for some more time to fill the berths and focus on filling up nominated posts and Legislative Council seats.
