TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy on Friday cast suspicion on the closed-door meetings between Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan with whom the state government has had several issues.

"With the Assembly elections approaching, KCR and the Governor met and discussed several issues behind closed doors. The people must consider the possibility of a political alliance between the Governor and the Chief Minister," Revanth Reddy said.

He was speaking at an event at his residence in Jubilee Hills where Mahbubnagar BJP leader and advocate S.P. Venkateshan and others joined the Congress.

Revanth Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister had earlier utilised the Palamuru-Rangareddy and Kaleshwaram projects as his ATMs, and was now doing the same with the Dharani portal. "By introducing the portal, 35 lakh acres of Dalit and tribal land were encroached.," the TPCC chief claimed.  The Congress,

if it formed government, would close the portal, Revanth Reddy said.

He alleged that the Chief Minister was blackmailing farmers by linking the Rythu Bandhu aid and Rythu Bima insurance schemes with the portal. "Dharani was introduced in 2020 and farmer's schemes were initiated in 2018. Why did the Chief Minister create confusion among farmers," Revanth Reddy asked.

He reminded that the previous Congress governments had implemented a number of schemes for farmers and people based on revenue records. The Congress, if it came to power, would ensure protection of land holdings by giving complete protection by removing the Dharani portal.

"When we questioned minister V. Srinivas Goud's illegal activities, he came out by playing the BC card. Why did Srinivas Goud harass a number of BC community people in Mahbubnagar by registering false cases," the TPCC chief asked.
