Congress working president Revanth Reddy is extensively campaigning in GHMC wards in Malkajgiri Parliament constituency represented by him. He held roadshows in Vinayak Nagar, Neredmet, Venkatpuram, Alwal and Suraram divisions on Wednesday. He appealed to voters to elect Congress candidates fielded from these divisions. Revanth promised big development in Malkajgiri, if voters ensure win of 25 to 30 corporators from Congress in the coming election.
Revanth was critical of TRS for seeking votes now after neglecting the people during Corona pandemic and the recent floods. "The flood relief
distribution was mired in irregularities with only TRS functionaries benefitting from it. Now with what authority all ministers, MPs, MLAs are touring each division and seeking support of citizens.
The fact that TRS changed its sitting candidate in Neredmet is a proof of large-scale corruption during the last five years by the ruling party," he added. Revanth also attacked BJP and termed it as the 'Bharatiya Jhoota Party' for its attempts to rope in leaders from Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan for GHMC election campaign.
