Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed the officials to come up with plans to develop Greater Hyderabad into a clean city like Indore.

During a review on the progress of development of roads, footpaths, cleaning and other works under the GHMC, he instructed the municipal officials to visit Indore and study the processes adopted there.

The officials were instructed to check with the associated agencies and voluntary groups and explore the possibilities of involving them here.

As the contract expires in December, agencies found being negligent in the maintenance should not be spared and

the road works should be monitored and attended to immediately, he said.

The GHMC was asked to focus on garbage collection along the roads, have supervision in collecting garbage from households and adopt new technology like GIS and QR scan should if necessary. Also, the Chief Minister sought clear plans for fund mobilisation for the ongoing works and temporarily adjust the funds need for clearing dues.

Directing officials to speed up the Musi River Development Project works, he said the residents in the Musi catchment area should be rehabilitated.

As the Cherlapally railway station is being modernized, he directed the officials to develop the approach roads and suggested the forest and industries department land in the vicinity be acquired immediately.
