BRS working president KT Rama Rao launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy‘s administration for amassing unprecedented debt with little progress to show in its 10-month tenure. He pointed out that the debt accumulation of the Congress government surpassed that of debt passed on to Telangana from a 60-year-old erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

In a series of posts on X, Rama Rao questioned the benefits derived from these borrowings, contrasting it with the development achieved by BRS over a decade.

“Your so-called six guarantees remain half-baked, while debts skyrocket. More is being torn down than built, more is stolen than given. The Congress

functionaries are busy with Delhi trips, leaving the State at the mercy of corporate interests,” he said.

The BRS working president also lambasted the Congress government for failing to support farmers, with crop purchases delayed and prices falling. He stated that farmers who sold paddy for Rs 2,300 per quintal during the BRS regime, are now receiving Rs 1,800.

“You push forward the Musi River project, Ramannapet cement factory and VLF radar station at Damagundam, but back away from setting up procurement centres and buying crops. Middlemen are thriving while farmers suffer,” he stated, adding that a once golden State handed over to the corrupt Congress hand, was now facing ruin.
