Kondangal MLA, Anumula Revanth Reddy on Thursday tendered resignation to his membership in the State Legislative Assembly. He sent his letter to the speaker of the State legislative assembly stating that he had resigned to his membership with effect from September 6.

Revanth Reddy, elected twice on TDP ticket in 2009 and 2014, shifted his loyalties to the Congress in October 2017. He is the prime accused in the vote for note case that rocked the

State in 2015.

Later speaking to the media, he said he submitted his resignation to the Telugu Desam party and his membership in the assembly in 2017 after quitting TDP and submitted both the letters of resignation to the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.

He said he had decided to tender his resignation this time in protest against the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s style of functioning.
