Oblivious to the rising discontent against his governance among different sections, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday claimed that he would be the Chief Minister for a second term as well.
In the first term, people cast their anti-BRS votes for Congress but in the second term, they would cast their votes for the Congress “out of love”, he claimed, stating that beneficiaries of different welfare and development programmes would be his voters.
In an informal chat with media persons here on Saturday, he said all the promises made to the people would be fulfilled. Claiming that 25 lakh families had benefited through crop loan waiver, he said if there were four beneficiaries from one house,
the cumulative total of beneficiaries would be one crore.
“Similarly, one crore women will definitely be benefited under our rule. Though they might not speak about the benefits at this juncture, they will definitely cast their votes in our favour,” Revanth Reddy said, also claiming that whatever he had predicted had come true.
He also said that the Union government had sought budget estimates from district Collectors for the population census. The exercise would be completed in 2026 and in 2027, the population census would be notified. Accordingly, delimitation would also be taken up, he said, adding that that was why all efforts were being made to ensure southern States did not suffer any loss.
