TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday criticised Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for spreading lies among the people about the Congress' stand on Rythu Bandhu and made it clear that they will not only continue Rythu Bandhu but will also hike the amount to Rs 15,000 per acre per year from the present Rs 10,000 provided by BRS government.
Addressed public meetings in Adilabad, Khanapur and Rajendranagar Assembly constituencies on Wednesday, Revanth said that the Congress will also extend Rythu Bandhu of Rs 12,000 per acre per year to tenant voters, if voted to power, which is not being provided by the BRS government at present.
The Congress leader alleged that Chandrashekhar Rao has been spreading false propaganda against the Congress on 24-hour power supply to agriculture also.
He also came down heavily on Chandrashekhar Rao for failing to provide jobs to the unemployed youth and giving 3-acre land to the Dalits and Medigadda barrage was exposed like ‘Medipandu’.
Revanth Reddy asked the people what they wanted — whether ‘Dorala Telangana or Prajala Telangana, and added that the BRS top leader is asking the people to give chance for a third time so that their grandson will become a minister in the KCR’s family and all others already became a minister in the last two-term government.
He appealed to the party leaders who were denied party tickets to support the party candidates and he would take care of their political future once the party came to power.
Revanth Reddy criticised BRS candidate Jogu Ramanna and described him as ‘Jokudu Ramanna’ and appealed to the people to vote for Vedma Bojju in Khanapur and Srinivas Reddy from
Adilabad.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is saying that he will make BC the CM in Telangana, should make a BC person the CM in Gujarat first. The Congress, which is in power in four states, has made three BCs as CMs. But in 10 states, where the BJP is in power, it has made only one BC as CM," Revanth Reddu said, adding that the BJP will not get deposits in 100 seats in Telangana.
Revanth Reddy said that no party can have the love that the Congress has for Dalits and tribals. "Did anyone give lands to Dalits and Adivasis before Indiramma," Revanth asked.
He alleged that the state government is grabbing the assigned lands by bringing the Dharani portal and said that if the BRS has notes, then their candidates have votes.
Revanth Reddy also criticised Chandrashekhar Rao for spreading false propaganda saying that Dharani will be removed if the Congress comes to power, which will deny them Rythu Bandhu.
Stating that Rythu Bandhu was introduced in 2018, but Dharani was introduced in 2020, the PCC chief asked how Rythu Bandhu was given to the beneficiaries in those two years when there was no Dharni portal.
He said that the Congress has decided to computerise the lands of the poor. A good portal will be brought in the place of Dharani, which will not harm anybody.
He said that the lands given during the reign of Indiramma will be given titles and facilities will also be provided to sell them. Under any circumstances, Dharani portal will be drowned in the Bay of Bengal (abolished). He alleged that KCR's family has grabbed 10,000 acres of land in the vicinity of Hyderabad under the guise of Dharani.
