At a high-level
review meeting with Masjid committee leaders at the Secretariat here on
Thursday, Yadaav shared his views on the Ramzan festival and arrangements being
made. He said as much as Rs 16 crore were being spent for the festivities,
including Rs 12 crore for distributing clothes for six lakh persons and to
conduct Ifthar parties in all the selected mosques.
Ifthar party will be hosted
at 195 mosques in the State, including 100 in the twin cities of Hyderabad and
Secunderabad.
Unlike other States, the Telangana Government was conducting the festival for second consecutive year and the credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he added. The government is conducting the festival as a State event and offering Ifthar to the Muslims. He said.
Telangana State Wakf Board Chief Executive Officer Asadullah, Executive Officer Munavar and others were present.
