Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said Telangana State has been sanctioned a record budget allocation of 5,337 crore rupees for the year 2025-26. He stated that the annual average budget outlay for the combined Andhra Pradesh State during the years 2009-14 was only 886 crore rupees.
The budget allocation to Telangana has witnessed an almost sixfold increase, and he
added that an amount of 41,677 crore rupees is being invested in various rail development projects in the state. He informed that the railway network in Telangana is now 100 percent electrified. He also stated that Telangana has been leading in the installation of Kavach, with the Centre of Excellence for Kavach being located at Secunderabad.
