Rs 6.09 Crore Cash Seized Since Tuesday

Police seized Rs 6.09 crore cash on Tuesday and up to 9 pm of Wednesday taking the overall cash seized between October 9 and November 1 to Rs 151 crore.

During regular checks as part of pre-election crackdown, police and excise officials seized 4983 litres of liquor, 50 kg jaggery and 360 kg alum worth Rs 5.12 crore since October 31. Approximately, Rs 44.94 crore worth liquor



was seized during the period.

Law enforcement agencies seized RS 23.39 crore worth drugs and narcotic substances and Rs 165 crore worth gold, silver and diamonds from October 9 to November 1. Overall, Rs 427 crore worth cash, gold, drugs and freebies were seized across the state between October 9 and 9 pm on November 1.
