Rs.120 cr released for T MLAs constituency development fund

The state government on Wednesday released `120 crore for MLAs and MLCs under constituency development fund. As many as 120 MLAs and 40 MLCs will get `75 lakh each for funding development activities in their respective constituencies. Planning department issued orders on Wednesday , giving guidelines on spending the money .

The district collectors have been directed to accord sanction to



programmes which are eligible for funding under the `Constituency Development Programme(CDP)', as per the existing guidelines. The collectors have also been asked to follow SC, ST development fund guidelines while releasing funds. As per the formula, `56.60 crore has been allotted for general category programmes, `11.58 crore for SC development works, and `6.81 crore for ST development activities.
