The Cyberabad police on Wednesday confiscated unaccounted cash of Rs. 2 crore from two employees of Jayabheri Groups at Hitech City Railway station, while they were trying to transport the cash to Rajahmundry.

The duo were identified as Nimmaluri Srihari (44) and Aruti Pandari (39), who work for Jayabheri group owned by actor-turned-politician Murali Mohan Maganti. The accused told the police that they work for Jayabheri group and were transporting the cash from



their Hyderabad office to Rajahmundry.

“They were about to board a train to Rajahmundry to hand over the unaccounted cash to their boss Murali Mohan, whose daughter Maganti Roopa is contesting for Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat,” a senior police officer said.

Both Srihari and Pandhari were detained by Cyberabad police. An Election Offence case was registered at Madhapur police station.
