Rs.33 lakh cash seized from a passenger at RGIA airport

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials on Monday seized Rs 33 lakh from passenger arrived from Sharjah at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA). The CISF officials observed a bunch of papers in the bag when luggage was scanned during the security check and intercepted the



passenger. 

Another intensive check was conducted later and the passenger failed to produce documentary evidence and satisfactory explanation for carrying the huge amount of cash. They detained the passenger and handed over him to customs officials for further probe. The passenger is being questioned.
