Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has extended the deadline till September 30.
Following the notification from Ministry of Road Transport and Highways that validity of documents such as vehicle registrations, fitness certificates, driving licences and permits which were expired during the lockdown would be valid up to September 30, the RTA has extended the same for four months.
RTA Joint Commissioner (IT &
Vigilance), C. Ramesh said vehicle users need not worry about the validity of documents as the deadline has been extended. “They can avail the service anytime till September 30 and need not rush to the office in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases,” he said.
Earlier, government has given the deadline till June 30, however, with the prevailing Covid-19 situation, it has decided to extend the last date to further.
