With large number of passengers boarding Metro trains in the wake of RTC strike, the Metro stations are teeming with passengers and record patronage is being registered with each passing day. On Monday, till 9 pm over 3.63 lakh passengers travelled in Metro trains across Hyderabad.
Metro officials expected that by end of Monday night, the passenger footfall might cross 3.80 lakh, which will be a new record in terms of patronage. The current patronage record happens to be 3.65 lakh recorded on October 5.

Metro officials are operating extra trips for the convenience of passengers. Over 100 additional train trips were operated on Monday, authorities said. Trains were operated with a frequency of three and half minutes on the Nagole-Hitec City route and for every four minutes on the LB Nagar-Miyapur route.
Services were being operated from 6 am to 11 pm and the last train, which departs from a terminal, is arriving at the other terminal at 12 in the midnight, said Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited Managing Director NVS Reddy.
