The Congress on Thursday claimed that the TRS, if voted back to power, would shut down the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, said TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Addressing a meeting of corporation workers here in the city, Uttam said the TRS government had in the past, instead of redressing the grievances of employees, had “threatened to close the
corporation.”
He also blamed Prime Minister Narender Modi-led BJP government at the Centre and the TRS government in the State for the “deteriorating condition” of the corporation.
He promised that the Congress, if voted to power, would merge the corporation with the State government and that RTC employees would be paid salaries and benefits on par with State employees.
