Sangareddy collector suspends 2 civic staff

Sangareddy: Sangareddy collector Valluru Kranthi acted tough on the civic staff, who were acting negligently in collecting property taxes and water charges, and suspended two civic staff and served notices on 17 others in different municipalities.

During a review meeting held recently, the Collector directed the staff to ensure 100 per cent tax collection from the citizens in their respective areas.

As they failed to



do so, Kranthi suspended bill collector in Zaheerabad municipality Kursihd Mohammad and another bill collector in Sadasivapet municipality Srikanth.

She also served notices on 17 other staff in Zaheerabad, Tellapur and Sangareddy municipalities including the Sangareddy municipal commissioner. Kranthi warned that she would take stern action unless the staff completes theirs within the set deadline.
