SCR announce closure of PRS booking counters at Mehdipatnam & Ameerpet

The South Central Railways (SCR) has informed the passengers that the PRS (Passenger Reservation System) Booking Counters at Mehdipatnam and Ameerpet have been closed.

In a press release issued here, the SCR pointed out at a significant increase in the online booking facilities and gradual decrease in the number of transactions at PRS (Passenger Reservation System) Booking Counters. At present nearly 85 per cent of the PRS bookings / cancellations are being done through on-line facilities. This has resulted in number of transactions at PRS counters have come down



drastically.

In view of the above, two Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Satellite locations (Booking Counters) at Mehdipatnam on the first floor, SGM Mall, Mehdipatnam X Roads, Hyderabad and Shop No. 18 in Swarnajayanthi Complex at Ameerpet will be closed with effect from October 14.

The SCR requested the passengers to note the closure of the above mentioned booking counters and purchase train tickets from alternate nearest locations like Hyderabad Railway Station instead of Mehdipatnam and Nature Cure Hospital / Begumpet Railway Station instead of Ameerpet locations.
