The South Central Railway (SCR) will operate 804 special trains to facilitate passengers travelling during the Diwali and Chhath festivals.
During the festival season there will be huge traffic towards eastern states like West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar etc., and northern states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi etc.
Accordingly, to meet the demands of the public, the special train services are being operated on popular routes from major stations of SCR such as Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kacheguda towards stations in other states
like Shalimar, Raxaul, Jaipur, Lalgarh, Hisar, Gorakhpur, Shirdi, Danapur, Nizamuddin, Cuttack, Agartala, Santragachi etc.
Special trains are also being operated to other demand destinations like Madurai, Erode, Nagercoil, Kollam, Bengaluru, Panvel, Dadar etc.,
These special trains have been provided with varied coach composition of AC and non-AC classes having both Reserved and Unreserved accommodation to cater to all segments of passengers, SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain said.
