SCR will run 8 special trains from Sept 5 midnight

South Central Railway will run eight special MMTS trains in different routes from September 5 night to September 6 dawn.

While a train will leave for Lingampally from Secunderabad at 12:30am, another train is scheduled to ferry passengers from Secunderabad to Hyderabad at 11:30pm. The Hyderabad bound MMTS will depart from Lingampally at 1:50am and the other train allotted for Secunderabad will start its journey from Hyderabad at 3:30am. A special Lingampally bound MMTS will be provided from Hyderabad station at



11pm.

To reach Falaknuma, a train has been allotted from Lingampally at 12:10am. Similarly , another train will ply from Falaknuma to Secunderabad at 2:20am. From Secunderabad, a train is slated to leave for Hyderabad at 4am.

“People mostly have to depend on autos and cabs to participate in the immersion.But they charge indiscriminately since there is no other option for the devotees to come back home. So, we came up with the idea to introduce special trains,“ said S Ahmed, a senior official of SCR.
