The Prajakutami is still facing the difficulties in finalising seat adjustments among its constituents.
For the last month, the leaders of the Prajakutami have been promising seat adjustments in the next couple of days. The leaders of the Congress and the Telangana Jana Samiti party, who met on Friday, also came up with the answer again.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy along with TS affairs incharge R.C. Khuntia met with TJS chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram at a hotel in the city on Friday. They discussed seats adjustment and the common manifesto that is expected to be announced by the alliance.
The TJS stated that its candidates would contest the elections with its own symbol.
Speaking to mediapersons Mr Khuntia said, “Dare going on between the Congress and the
TJS. Today we have discussed seat sharing and common agenda points. These were not finalised and we will meet again. The discussions will come to an end in two or three days.”
Prof. Kodandaram said, “We will reveal the details once they are finalised. TJS candidates will be contesting on the party symbol. We have checked whether we can contest on the symbol of another party but there is no such possibility.”
He said the registration of the TJS was complete, and a number had been allotted. “We are waiting for the party symbol.”
He refused to take questions on the TRS manifesto, saying, “I don’t want to talk about the manifesto of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.”
He said the TJS would not meet Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
