Secretariat police book case in Hussain Sagar boat fire incident

The Secretariat police have booked a fire accident case in connection with the boat fire mishap that occurred in Hussain Sagar on Sunday night.

According to the police, as part of the ‘Bharatha Matha Maha Harathi’ celebrations, a boat and a jetty (platform) were arranged by the event organisers. It



was burning firecrackers, accidentally one firecracker had missed the direction and hit the boat which was loaded with firecrackers.

“Due to this, all the crackers started bursting and the boat caught fire. The jetty which was beside it too caught fire and was damaged in the incident,” said an official.
