With RTC strike continuing for the second day, Secunderabad railway station on Sunday was crowded with passengers struggling to gain entry into the trains.
Express trains heading to different parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were overcrowded and there were reports of stampede like situation on platforms even though police had arranged queues to
allow passengers to enter general coaches.
With this, the police reportedly had to use mild lathicharge to control passengers at Secunderabad railway station. However, railway officials denied it and said there was less crowd on Sunday compared to Saturday and the situation was under control.
