D.Anasuya Seethakka assumed charge as minister for panchayat raj and women and child welfare department in her chamber in the presence of IAS officers Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Smita Sabharwal and other officials at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat in Hyderabad on Thursday.
After taking the charge, Seethakka stated that a bus facility would be provided to her native Jaggannapeta village in the Mulugu constituency. During the BRS rule, she as an MLA took the issue to the notice of the government that Jaggannapeta was lacking a public transportation facility despite having a proper road, but in
vain.
With Seethakka registering a thumping victory in the recent Assembly elections from Mulugu and the Congress forming the government in the state, she urged the officials of the TSRTC department to provide bus facility to Jaggannapeta, which had been facing hardships due to lack of proper transportation.
Responding positively, at the behest of Warangal depot-2 manager Suresh, the RTC officials conducted a survey and promised to run a bus service to the village via Pattipally-Potlapur road shortly.
