Senior All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader and former MLA Virasat Rasool Khan passed away on Tuesday due to health complications.

Khan had a long-standing association with the AIMIM party, spanning nearly four decades. He was first elected as an MLA from the Charminar constituency in 1989 and later represented the Nampally Assembly constituency in



2009.

He is survived by his wife and one son

In a ‘X’ account, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed sadness over the demise of Virasat Rasool Khan and recalled his long association with the party. “He was lovingly called Munnu Nawab. My prayers are with his family and friends,” Owaisi said.
