As the city grows, its infrastructure is also being enhanced to meet the growing requirements. As part of such development and to match the traffic density in the bustling IT corridor and its vicinity, two major service roads in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority limits are being widened.
The 7.5 km Nanakramguda – Telangana State Police Academy stretch and the
14.5 km Narsingi-Kollur stretch are the two-lane roads that are being widened to four-lane roads at an estimated cost of Rs.300 crore by the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), a wing of HMDA.
The HGCL plans to complete the road widening works by February 2023. Currently, underground utilities are being shifted and works are underway at a brisk pace, an HMDA official said.
