Shahnawaz Qasim to head Telangana Wakf board

IPS officer Shahnawaz Qasim on Tuesday took charge as in-charge CEO of Wakf Board here at Haj House.

Speaking to press persons later, Qasim said he would be available so that public could address their issues related to Wakf institutions and properties. “I will try to enhance the redressal system in the board by conducting public hearing



weekly once,” he said. The focus would be on using new technology for the protection of Wakf properties.

Chairman Wakf Board Mohammed Saleem said for the first time a police officer had been given the task of CEO, where as in the past, police officers were appointed as special officer in the absence of board.
