Shia Muslims celebrate birth anniversary of Imam Hazrat Ali

The birth anniversary of Imam Hazrat Ali was celebrated in different parts of Old City on Tuesday. Thousands of people from the Shia community gathered at Alijah Kotla and took our a procession towards Koh-e-Moula Ali. 

The traditional Sehra was carried on two camels and four horses. The procession began



from Alijah Kotla, proceeded towards Mir Alam Mandi. Heavy police bandobast was evident in south zone and east zone police station areas to ensure peace.

Later in the night, we paid our respects to the Sehara at Moula Ali by climbing 700 steps, Ali Raza said.
