Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has said that all households in Siddipet town will have piped gas supply like drinking water. Works for supply of piped gas have already been grounded in the town.

Addressing the gathering after laying a foundation stone for construction of Yadav Bhavan here on Wednesday, the Finance Minister has called upon the residents of Siddipet to rid the town of mosquitoes and flies. This move would help the citizens maintain their health and eventually increase productivity.

Harish Rao has said that they made the town free from the domestic pigs with strict measures in the past.

Saying that they were also distributing two dust bins



and jute bags to all the households, the Minister has said that they were planning to supply 38,000 dust bins in Siddipet town to help the households to segregate the wet and dry waste at the doorstep and combat the plastic menace.

Later, Rao has also laid a foundation stone for construction of Mahila Bhavan.

The two buildings will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakhs and 15 lakhs each. Underlining the importance of utilising the water efficiently, Rao has said that they were fetching the water from long distances by spending a lot of money and effort.  He has further said that the efforts are to allot the double bedroom houses to eligible beneficiaries without any issues.
