As part of the 552nd Prakash Utsav of first Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev, a colourful Nagar Keertan (holy procession) was organised from Gurudwara Saheb, Secunderabad.
Exhilarating display of Gatka skills, a Sikh martial art form, rendering of Shabad keertans, carrying of Guru Granth Sahibji and Nishan Sahebans were part of the procession, according to a press release. The 552nd Prakash Utsav (birth anniversary) of Guru Nanak Devji falls on November 19.
As part of the ongoing celebrations, holy procession was taken out from Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad which proceeded via Secunderabad Railway Station, Rathifile Bus
Stand, Keyes High School, Blue Sea Hotel, Sangeet cross-roads, St Ann’s School, Secunderabad, Clock Tower, Manohar Theatre and reached Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad.
As the main birthday celebrations of Guru Nanak Devji are on November 19, a ‘Vishaal Deewan’ (Mass Congregation) will be held at Classic Gardens, Balamrai, Secunderabad on November 19, where over 25,000 Sikh devotees and other community faiths will converge, the press release said.
A night Keertan Darbar will also be organised on November 18 at Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad from 7:30 pm to 11 pm.
