Employees of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to get employment for their kins is all set to be fulfilled. The SCCL on Friday lifted a 15-year ban on dependent jobs, paving the way for providing employment to the dependents of coal miners.
SCCL board of directors meeting which was held here on Friday decided to revive the dependent employment scheme, that was stopped earlier. The decision was taken following suggestion by the CM.Accordingly, the heirs of present SCCL workers, aged between 48 and 59
years, can apply for dependent jobs.
The employees’ kins are eligible for applying for dependent job. The applicant should be aged between 18 and 35 years. The recruitment of such jobs was banned in SCCL in 2002. However, those employees who retired on health grounds and other reasons could not get dependent jobs.
The latest decision by the state government would allow the workers’ children or close relatives to get jobs in SCCL. With this decision the number of young employees in SCCL would increase.
