Uppal police arrested six persons and seized 68 fake IPL tickets which they had forged by copying the barcode of the access accreditation cards issued to them. Police identified the main accused as K. Govardhan Reddy, sub-contractor at Euphony Events and Entertainment, a manpower supplier for events, Rachakonda police commissioner D.S. Chauhan said.
The accused, Govardhan Reddy, Peggidi Mrudul Vamsi, Mohammad Faheem, Akheel Ahmed, Iveli Sravan Kumar and Mohammad Ajaz enrolled themselves as validators for IPL matches and were
issued access cards. They sent the scans to Akheel Ahmed who runs a photocopying shop at Chikkadpally, Chauhan said.
